Al Franken Offers to Takeover Marjorie Taylor Greene’s House Seat

ESSENEL, MINNESOTA — Former Senator Al Franken does not currently live in Georgia, he’s offered to move to Marjorie Taylor Greene’s district so that he can take over her seat in the House of Representatives.

“The thought, quite frankly, had never really occurred to me before to move to Georgia. Not that I have anything against the state,” Franken told a local newspaper this week. “After seeing the antics of Marjorie Taylor Greene, however, I started to realize that maybe there’s something down there in the Peach State that I simply have to experience for myself.”

Franken served in the U.S. Senate from 2009 to 2017. Greene is a freshman congresswoman from Georgia who filed articles of impeachment against President Biden on her very first official day in office. Rep. Greene has come under considerable fire this week after old social media posts from Facebook surfaced in which she signalled support for an array of unhinged conspiracy theories, and supported the outright murder of Democratic officials.

“I’ll tell you this much right now. Returning to Congress would be great,” Franken said. “Returning to Congress without ever having to sit next to or in the same room as Ted Cruz though? That’s like an ice cream sundae with two cherries on top.”

While it’s unclear, exactly which legal pathway Franken would even have to take over Greene’s seat in the House, should he succeed she at least won’t be completely without income. As we reported last week, Greene and Congresswoman Lauren Boebert wil lbe starring in an upcoming alternate reality TV show called “The Realhouswives of QAnon.”

“Since we share brain cells, we figured we’d share stationery and take this chance to thank the fine people on both sides at OAN,” the joint statement reads. “OAN is the only network brave enough to tell you the facts as you want them to be, rather than how they actually are. And only OAN is strong enough to keep calling Trump president even after he’s dead and buried and people are shitting and pissing on his grave.” (Pastiche Post)

House members serve two year terms, so the soonest Marjorie Taylor Greene can be voted out, if she’s not expelled from congress, is with an election next year.
