Americans React to Iran’s Leader Saying The White House is ‘Afflicted by Mental Retardation’

Published on

Tensions are undeniably flaring between Iran and the Trump administration. Last week, President Trump says he called off a retaliatory strike against Iran — who has taken credit for downing an American unmanned drone plane — when he found out how many people might be killed in it. Since taking office, the Trump administration has done everything in its power to unwind all the diplomatic progress made with Iran by the Obama administration, including backing out of the so-called “Iran Nuclear Deal,” which is actually a multinational agreement and pits the United States against several of its key allies in doing so.

For the past couple of weeks, things have really gotten hot and heavy between Trump and Iran, and today new sanctions on the country’s leaders were announced. In an act of defiance, Iran’s leader told AP that the “White House is afflicted by mental retardation,” as he blasted the new sanctions. Iran’s leader says that Trump “doesn’t know what to do.”

We wanted to get the reaction of every day Americans to Iran’s leader harshly criticizing Trump in such a way. Here are just some of your responses.

Greg Stiffen, Pastry Chef

“I mean, he didn’t call Trump the R-word, he just accurately described the president’s intellectual acumen. I can’t get mad at him for that, and I have a sister on the spectrum.”

Carol Gladlak, Vice President of Sales

“Since when did we start wars with countries for telling the truth about our president and his administration?”

Jethro Bohiggins, Podcaster, YouTube Star, Country Music Singer/Writer

“Clearly this is an open slap in the face that must be only dealt with by the most extreme measures.  How can we uphold the values of freedom of speech and expression if we don’t pulverize Iranian citizens for the words their leader used? Iran must know that the only one allowed to insult people with incendiary language is one Mr. President King Donald Trump! Can I get a ‘Hell yeah, Amen, suck on that commie libtards!,’ Fam?”

Sharon Kilmeade, Aerobics Instructor

“If Ben Carson, Betsy DeVos, and Rick Perry are still in the administration, I’d say this might be the most accurate assessment of a president and his cabinet…ever. Hard to find much fault in what he said there.”

Robert Hathbottom, Stay at Home Father

“Is it the most polite, diplomatic language he could use? No. But Trump says worse about Democrats and the media, so who’s clutching whose pearls, is all I’m saying.”

John Barron, Haver of Normal-Sized Genitals and Hands

“Clearly this is an open slap in the face that must be only dealt with by the most extreme measures.  How can we uphold the values of freedom of speech and expression if we don’t pulverize Iranian citizens for the words their leader used? Iran must know that the only one allowed to insult people with incendiary language is one Mr. President King Donald Trump! Can I get a ‘Hell yeah, Amen, suck on that commie libtards!,’ Fam?” IVANKA DID I COPY/PASTE FROM THE GOP WEBSITE PROPERLY OR NOT?…IVANKA?! HOW THE FUCK DO I TURN OFF THE VOICE TO TEXT, IVANKA?! I NEED THE VOICE TO TEXT OFF – “
