Recent events involving the deaths of unarmed citizens at the hands of police officers — notably black citizens and white officers — has reignited talk among both conservatives and liberals about forcing every cop in America to wear a camera while on duty. We here at The Political Garbage Chute think this is absolutely splendid, and seeing that both sides of the fence are willing to talk about this common sense solution sure does make us want to loosen the noose around our necks…at least a tiny bit.

But are we missing anything in all this? Is there any reason we should give pause to this idea of wiring up our public servants? As best we can tell, we came up with the following five reasons we don’t want our cops to wear cameras.
